Our Italian Greyhound has terrible auto-immune issues. One of them is immune-mediated arthritis. Her carpal joint on her right leg is so week that she walks on her “knees”, but on the other side her phalanges are so week that she walks on the top of her foot — meaning she falls over. I got a brace for her left side to try it – and she can walk! her swelling has gone down so much I might need to buy a smaller brace, and the wounds that we’ve been fighting due to her walking on her knees are heeling. We’ve tried braces before and they were too uncomfortable and she didn’t tolerate them. Now i need to buy a brace for her other leg. – Torka P.

good fit but thought they would a a bit more hard and are a little tough to put on and take off. overall good – George R.
Hi George. Thank you for the review!! We really appreciate it!! Yes we do admit that the braces are a little tough to apply/remove… that’s because we have some pretty tough customers :-)… Dogs and cats can be quite tenacious and quite clever at removing things so we had to make sure the braces would stay on and stay in place. 🙂 – Maria D. from Thera-Paw

Having been asked to rate my experience SO FAR, I’ll do that even though my cat has not worn her braces yet. Thera-Paw’s customer service manager, Sharon, responded promptly when I emailed and asked for assistance in choosing the right product. After a couple of additional questions which were also answered right away, I felt confident about placing the order. I’m introducing the braces to my cat slowly; with baby steps. First, I showed her one of them and allowed her to inspect it with her nose, too. Then I unfastened the velcro straps so she’d be familiar with the sound. I repeated that for a few days in a row; then began giving a treat when the velcro was unfastened, so she’ll associate that sound with something positive. That’s where we are today. Next, I’ll move on to associating the braces with her favorite activity: chasing the laser light across the floor! When I do put both braces on for the first time, I’ll have the laser light ready to possibly distract her from wanting to take them off, which is likely. If her passion for the laser doesn’t override her objection to the braces at first, we’ll keep working on it. If baby steps turn into giant steps and she ends up rocking her Carpo-Flex Mini’s, I’ll update this review with a video. – Sandra C.
