IMPROVE MOBILITY THROUGH REHAB AND ASSISTIVE DEVICES

I offer one-on-one, client-centered guidance on exercise, mobility, conditioning, and massage techniques that can help pets regain function and reduce pain. I work with dogs of all ages and all injuries however, I specialize in older dogs and orthopedic conditions such as sprains/strains, arthritis, back pain and post-surgery.

I also offer direction in selecting assistive aids for your pet, such as harnesses, carts, and braces.  My goal is to provide an individualized, wholistic approach to help pets be more comfortable and improve mobility.  I provide consults for Pet Parents to:

  • Assist dogs in maintaining mobility and function in their senior years.
  • General exercise consult and demonstration of simple massage techniques.
  • Recommendations for modifications in the home environment to reduce the risk of injury and make it easier for older pets or pets returning home from surgery to get around the home.
  • Recommendations on assistive aids that may best help your pet with mobility issues.

    Testimonials

"I cannot recommend rehabilitation for your animal enough, it has saved me money and has increased the quality of life of my mini dacshund in his later years. Jen is an amazing therapist and works wonders" - Kiera MacIntyre, MScOT

"We have been taking our dogs to Jennifer McNutt at Kootenay Canine Rehabilitation for about five years now. She is the greatest discovery we have had since we moved to this area."

"Jen is kind, caring, intuitive, analytical, efficient, and easily the most skilled canine physiotherapist we have ever been to. She truly understands the musculoskeletal system and biomechanical principles in the treatment of animals. She is always searching for the root of the issue and works on multiple underlying problem areas in a visit to ensure that nothing is overlooked. Her ability to analyze mobility issues is exceptional. Jen is also highly knowledgeable and incredibly skilled in the hands-on portion of treatment."

"We have a three-legged dog and two other dogs with multiple knee surgeries and back issues and as a result, our dogs go for treatment regularly. They always feel better and have improved mobility when we leave. They are comfortable with Jen and accepting of treatment because her efforts clearly relieve their pain. Quite honestly, I am not sure what we would do without her as the level of care she provides surpasses any we have received at any other clinic. More importantly, she is always learning new techniques and improving her skills which is truly impressive."

"We highly recommend Kootenay Canine Rehabilitation in all aspects of treatment." - Tammy White and Terry Peterson
